HAWE, JEREMIAH P. (JERRY)

Jeremiah P. Hawe (Jerry) of Katonah passed away on March 1 at age 66 after a valiant struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Mt. Kisco on July 8, 1941 to Mary Ellen and John P. Hawe. He was a retired Battalion Chief, FDNY and worked for the Fire Department, City of New York Battalion 26, Bronx. He was educated in the Bronx at Our Lady of Mercy. He graduated from Mt. St. Michael and went to Mercy College. He was a member of Meals on Wheels in Bedford, NY. He will be remembered for his interest in traveling and gardening and he was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his beloved wife Janet, devoted sons Brian and Greg, loving brother of Mary Gleason, fond uncle of Monica, Sonya and Vanessa Greaves, dear brother-in-law of Carol, Joyce, Richard and Roger Greaves, and the favorite great-uncle of Hanna Gourad. He was predeceased by his parents. The family will receive friends at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah on Tuesday, March 4 from 4 PM to 9 PM.
